Some Quick Reminders on How to Keep The YouTube Numbers Up

Hi dear Cloud sisters! :) Let us all help Rain by watching the teasers only on the official YouTube Channel, which is at Loen Entertainment. The most efficient way is to make a playlist for automatic play. 

However, there has been word from our Cloud sisters that the playlist should not only contain the teasers of 30SEXY and LA Song, as it will be read by YouTube as spam, thereby won't be included in the total count. You need to include other 3 videos to your playlist for it to be valid.

30SEXY and LA Song

It took me quite some time to write a post about the teasers. Man! I gotta say, I need to calm down to organize my thoughts. Haha~ These past few days have been a real excitement to me. Clouds just can't keep calm when Rain creates the anticipation! 

It all started when Rain tweeted at the early morn of Dec. 30. Clouds have requested for him to tweet again after July 10 and it finally came true. 

All right! day one (Dec. 30)  was about the photo teasers and day two (Dec. 31) was for the video teasers of the double title track for the album Rain Effect. For both days Clouds participated in a trending event in Twitter. Tweeting to @29rain with the hashtags #30SEXY #LAsong to support Rain's comeback. What with the slow and timely revelation of the said photos and videos, you wouldn't want to leave Twitter or even close your YouTube account. 30SEXY

The photo teasers are itself oozing with sexiness. The mafia-like concept  really works for the song. The first few notes of the music was all about mystery, crime, and sexuality. When I first heard it, I could feel the electricity of the music moving in my body! It's RnB with electric guitar. Rain projects his voice well and he exudes confidence in every angle. 

Nope, I won't embed the video teaser here in my post. From my experience with YouTube videos, Autoplay embeds don't make it to the overall count. Clouds, let us keep the numbers up and support Rain by watching the videos only on the official YouTube channel. Since Rain himself shared the link of Loen Entertainment, let's watch it there. Don't forget to like and comment. :D

LA Song

LA Song's description of a mix of various music genres in harmony is enough to make any music lover curious as to how it would sound. Those teaser photos tell a story of a rock star with a motorcycle punk theme... and some sexiness in between. Because of that, it made me all the more curious of LA Song's music. Rock? Street? Funk? Electronic? 

When the video was released by our man himself, I ecstatically clicked and watched the 53 second teaser of LA Song. I can't put a single genre to the song. The rhythm is RnB, Latino, Country and a whole lot more. It is a totally new genre! The choreography reflects of cowboy, matador, and Spanish dances moves. Wow! Bring the house down y'all! (^_^)  Rain es un hombre hermoso.

Both songs are beautiful, unique, and of different genres. They are incomparable. What is more amazing is that Rain was able to create one of a kind concepts for each one. While LA Song catches the attention of the youth, 30SEXY is for the mature audiences.  Hehehe~ Rain was also able to come up with special personas thereby highlighting his acting prowess. What a total entertainer our idol is! 

It is in the news that the comeback date has been moved to January 2, 2014. Yay! It's less torture on the waiting time for us as we can't wait to fully hear the 30SEXY and LA Song. This is Rain Effect! And Rain is about to change the course of music history. 

My BEST Christmas Gift: 30SEXY RAIN at Incheon International Airport

All along, I have always had this wish of meeting and seeing my favorite idol Rain. It was with this wish in my heart that I travelled to Seoul, South Korea this year to celebrate Christmas and new year with my niece, Gheeric. We arrived there on the 23rd of December. It was just a simple wish that any fan girl would make, to meet with their idol and get his autograph. 

A week into our wonderful stay, I was informed by Cloud Sister Terry Yu (Thank you so much!) that Rain would be going to Singapore on the 30th of December. I cancelled all our plans immediately and rushed to Incheon international Airport. All the while praying that I would catch my favorite idol Rain.

After travelling 2 hours via the subway system, we finally reached Incheon Airport at 4:30pm of December 30. We raced to the Korean Airlines counters and I saw Rain’s dancers there. I recognized Hongshi and proceeded to strike up some small talk with him. I got a picture with him too.

I also saw the lady whom we spoke to when we visited the Rainy’s Entertainment officer last July. I passed her our gifts to Rain (Feli Saldana’s gift and my gift) to her. I also passed Feli's personal letter to her. She was nice about it. I must say, that Rainy Entertainment has the most pleasant and approachable staff. Even the managers are pleasant to talk to.

They were all busy with checking, so I just waited patiently for them to finish. Once they were done, I decided to follow them as my intuition was telling me that Rain should be arriving anytime soon since it was nearly 5 PM. Then a black van came by and Rain’s manager walked out. I was right! Rain had just arrived with his good Friend KevinRa.

I was rendered speechless with joy as he approached to where I was standing. I was so starstruck that my whole body was shaking. Though I did not realise it at that time, I was so close to Rain that I was holding onto his arms. It was thanks to my niece Gheeric who acted as my official photographer using her newly bought CANON camera. I handed over the photo that I was carrying with me to ask for his autograph. Rain was so nice and accomodating! I’ve gotten my best christmas gift this year! His signature! He tried to pass me back his pen, but I told him, “Sorry it’s not mine”. 

I told him I am his CLOUD from the Philippines that I love him so much - We love him so much. Take care and have a safe flight to Singapore, Rain!

RAIN's so tall, cute and sexy, and he had beautiful skin with the complexion of milk. I do feel that the title track of his new album #30SEXY best describes him. I am so happy that I saw him in person! He looks as great and as cute as always. Truly, Rain is a sight to behold.He is a shining world star and my inspiration.

Rain! 

I feel so blessed to have seen him again after July 10th 2013. In my heart I am proud to say and affirm the biggest decision I’ve ever made in my entire life: To be Rain’s CLOUD forever and to love ONLY RAIN for the rest of my life.

The Rain Effect

What is the Rain Effect? 

Popular culture has a way of ingratiating itself with Science. Artists often draw inspiration from the things that influence the times. Take for example, the Butterfly Effect from Chaos theory, which is how a small change can have a large effect on the world. In simpler terms, it is like how a flapping of a butterfly’s wings creates a hurricane in the future, in any given time and place. 

The Butterfly Effect comes about due to the sensitivity and dependence of events on initial conditions. And Rain is our initial condition, the change starter. The person who pushes the first domino of events.

First off, Rain Effect as his latest reality show on TV. It airs every Thursday 11PM KST on Mnet. It can be also watched online on Mwave, though it is subject to availability in some countries.

It is a show which showcases the life of Rain behind the world of celebrity. You will see how simple his house is.  It is not like any of the celebrity houses depicted in MTV Cribs, but a house similar to ours. It has a minimalist design, and seeing Rain going about his everyday life makes him seem more like a real person rather than some untouchable and far away celebrity.

We get to see him while he is working too, catching a glimpse of how he moves about backstage. How he concentrates hard and focuses before performing on stage and him releasing his tension by gasping for air once he leaves it. He does not leave any room for errors or mistakes, showing how he professional and dedicated he is in doing his best for the audience.

And surprise! Rain Effect is also the name of his new album to be released on January. Three songs have been revealed out of a total of eleven songs: 

1. Rain Effect
2. 30 SEXY
3. LA SONG

The double title singles, as previously revealed, are 30 Sexy and LA Song. 

So okay, now what are your speculations regarding the songs? Hmmm…  Of course with a title like 30 Sexy, it would probably be something related to how he is sexy at 30. It’s kind of a misnomer since he will always be sexy at any age. Kekekeke… 

La Song or LA Song? News sources say that it is a fusion of different genres like Funk, Electronic, Rock, etc.. This would be a collection of genres that he has never done before. I can’t imagine how different types of music would work together. But if it is Rain, then it worked!  And with regards to the description of LA Song, it would feature an upbeat music which would showcase his dancing skills! Color me curious but I’m very interested in listening to this song now, and all the more excited at seeing Rain’s choreography with it!

So the question remains: What is the Rain Effect? 

Rain Effect is more than just a TV show or his new album, it is about how Rain influences us with his movements and decisions. What we have is just a preview. Rain Effect is still on its early stages. It will go be a full blast once January comes. Oooh...Can’t wait!

Every Nanosecond Rain

How did you become a fan of Rain?

For me? It was around the same time in December last year when I saw the video on YouTube about the 2008 Mnet KM Music Awards. When I saw Rain and his precise movements on stage, I instantly felt his performance. His energy, his power, his aura... He belonged to the stage and I couldn't help but feel admiration to this person who is great in his craft. 

You could say that he is God's Christmas gift to me. 

Earlier, Cloud USA posted a new video on YouTube which was edited by harudoful. It was a Christmas greeting to us all. It made me feel nostalgic because she put a lot of clips from Rain's 2008 Mnet performance. The video was an eye opener for me. When you see Rain on stage, you only get to see the overall package. harudoful did a great job by putting it in slow motion and then pausing to highlight the moment. Everything is in timing with the sweet song "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" by Luther Vandross. 

Rain gives everything in every nanosecond of his performances. Look at his eyes, his facial expressions, the movements of his body... Perfect! 




And his smile at the end of the video, that made me a Cloud. 

Rain-ing for the Third Time in Hollywood!

Rain is slowly making a BIG comeback to the showbiz industry. It was announced in his MAMA 2013 performance about his upcoming projects like the Rain Effect and his new album coming this January 6, 2013. 

We all thought he would focus on being a singer and dancer more than his acting. But then came the good news that he would have a new movie. And it’s not just in any production, but in Hollywood! Yeah baby! 

Following Speed Racer (2008) and Ninja Assassin (2009), Rain will star in the movie The Prince along with Bruce Willis, Jason Patric, John Cusack, and 50 Cent. It will be of an action thriller genre. Good, as the action genre is precisely my taste. 

The crew for the movie started filming in Mobile, Alabama right after Thanksgiving. News reports say it started with a “Bang!”. 

Ah, sweet spoilers. Haha~ Honestly, as a movie enthusiast myself, I don’t like being fed with pictures of the set or of the filming. But Rain himself started it all, with a change in his profile picture in Twitter…

Aperture Entertainment and film producer Adam Goldworm commended Rain on his acting skills, too. 

And Clouds will be Clouds, the best in the art of stalking. Hehehe~ So if you are like me who don’t like to see spoilers, then don’t scroll down any further.

Most important one of all, we are treated to a glimpse of the character named Mark.

I wonder who Mark is in the movie. Is he the prince? The protagonist? A villain? Ah, Mark is played by Rain. For sure, he will make us feel the character, or make us emotionally invested as we live viscerally through Mark. 

Seeing from the above photos and from the information available online, I can only guess that this movie will be sophisticated. It will be Rain’s third movie in Hollywood. And we all look forward to seeing him on the big screen, and watching a movie with an unforgettable plot that will leave an imprint to your senses. Rain will definitely make a mark in this movie. 

No release date has been slated for The Prince as of the present time. It is a production by Aperture Entertainment. 

Stirring Up a Storm: Rain at the 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards

It was good news to all when it was officially announced that Rain would be performing at the 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards. Held at Asia World Expo Arena in Hong Kong, the place was abuzz with personalities from the Korean entertainment industry. Surely, November 22, 2013 is a day K-pop fans would never forget.

Famous people graced the event. Korean pop stars and even Hollywood celebrities were there. But all Clouds tuned in for one and only one person! Rain… the man of the moment.

There were many performances throughout the night, and the raucous cheer of the fans were unending, but they were all stopped by the roar of a deluge of water coming over the speakers. Arcing tendrils of electricity filled the big screen on the stage. It was clear to all that a storm was coming! And as the fireworks bloomed and spread their fiery petals, there stood Rain…

He looked seductively at the audience and smiled. Rain then put on his sunglasses as if silently saying, “It’s Showtime!”.

Then the slow harmonic melody of “How to Avoid the Sun” filled the whole arena with music! And Rain serenaded the audience with his sweet voice.

The slow song was replaced by futuristic intro to the tune of It’s Raining! It is Rain-ing again! Notice how the background rains with the words "It's Raining". Awesome!

But the grandest of it all is Hip Song. With a surprising take of a grand and fiery re-entrance, Rain and his dancers came back via a lifting stage.

But Rain revealed one of his most beautiful visual effects towards the end. What I love was the shower of water on the stage with Rain reigning on top. As if he makes it rain! Oh yeah!

Our man surely knows the Latin saying Amat Victoria Curam (Victory Loves Preparation). He just showed it to us on the stage of the 2013 MAMAs.  His absence from July 10, 2013, and only popping out once in a while was all to prepare! And in the end, he emerged victorious!

And it's not just any performance! Take it from the MAMA Official Facebook Page: it will be an epic special showcase performance! Yeah! Our man surely knows how to give surprises at a grand level! Just a few days ago, we were turning our heads to his Zepp Tour, now he has our attention once more! 

Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) will be held at the Hong Kong Asia World-Expo Arena tomorrow night (November 22, 2013)! It will start at 7:00 PM Hong Kong time, which is of the same time here in the Philippines.

Rain at the Bazaar Men Style People of the Year Awards

Bazaar Men Style People of the Year Awards wouldn't be complete without Rain. Our man has been known to have a good fashion style. His airport photos alone are enough proof of that! This event, organized by fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar and sponsored by Mercedes Benz, was held at 789 Art Zone on November 2, 2013.

Night came and we see those photos fill up with brilliant lights and famous celebrities! Our hero stole the scene again. Wearing a formal suit, he graced the red carpet in all his awesomeness!

Now let's take a look at the interior. The stage is wide enough and it seems that it was designed to enable audience interaction.

During the event, Rain was awarded the 2013 Asian Entertainer Award. Just before his appearance on the stage, there was a short montage of photos that showed him at various stages in his career. It was done very beautifully and it showed his growth from a young man to the hunk that he is today. 

Handsome, successful, yet humble are the words that can be used to perfectly describe Rain. Look at our idol getting the trophy on stage and giving a speech which seemed like it was his first time receiving an award. Just simply admirable!

As part of his invitation to the event, Rain also did a short performance and what a stage it was! Rain gave us the best performance of the year! LOL! I don't know.... it is still to early to tell. With his upcoming Zepp Tour this week, who knows what surprises he has in store. But for the moment he gave his best yet! Take note, he swapped the formal suit with some casual clothes for this! The abstract print on his shirt is amazing!

When he finally appeared, he owned the stage with his striking dance moves in ‘Hip Song’ and soulful voice in ‘I Do’. There was flawless dance routine transition and it was in perfect timing with his dancers. Bravo! I really adore putting his sweet voice on repeat and listening to it. 

I'm glad to see him enjoying the stage, smiling, and just charming his audiences away. It's been so long since I saw that kind of performance... to see a happy Rain. So here he is, singing Hip Song and I Do for the night.  Enjoy, listen well, and you will see why the host said after the performance "我爱 Rain" (I love Rain!).
